Updates

Migrated this site from its umpteenth temporary home to AMancuso.org, its indefinite home. Still debating matching the site design and layout with AM.org.

Added four generators, all Ykinde-related: Avan Names, Ykindean Human Names, Panthera Names, Lupos Names.

All generators up and working; please report any broken links or broken generators to me. Still need to update them all, of course, but now they're here, at least.

Thursday, February 19th, 2009.

No concrete update, other than a link to Name Pistol. I wanted to note the following as a wishlist/tasklist: requested furry character (standards + hybrids), requested Sonic character (furries + abilities + odd colors), Ykindean character (Panthera, human, Lupos, Avan, and alker, plus appropriate classes), and brown Korat character 'rators. Need to clean up all the preexisting generators and seriously revamp the following: furry 'taur, Canis, Cat & Wolf Shifters, Hajrar, and K'anta 'rators.

About The Site.

As a web designer and amateur game designer, I have a tendency to pick up website- or code-related hobbies. Making generators is one such hobby I adopted years ago, back before I knew much of anything. Inspired by Steven Savage's work on Seventh Sanctum, I modified his open-source code to create random generators with javascript. The basic premise is this: you click a button, and random text is generated in the box. It could be a story plot, a name, the description of a character, the basic appearance of a creature or plant, or so on. I have over sixty generators; some are old and others are simplistic, but all in all, they're fun. And even useful, from time to time.
